Lovey James – Our Old Pal Wants to Be Your American Idol

by Deborah Wagner

When you meet Lovey James, you know she’s someone special.  At the age of 17, this rising pop star has already achieved so much.  She sings, acts and writes music, she’s as sweet as can be and importantly she’s remained grounded and kind, despite already achieving popularity on YouTube and other social media sites.

With the start of a this new year, Lovey is turning the page to a new chapter in her life and we couldn’t be happier for her!  Starting January 7th,2015, you can tune in to the Fox Network’s popular singing competition American Idol and watch Lovey take the first step towards her dream to become the next American Idol.  We are hoping for an exciting season for Lovey and the other competitors working hard to follow in the footsteps of past Idol winners like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Jordin Sparks.

Idol remains one of the first and longest running singing competition show, entering its fourteenth season.  Last seasons judges Jennifer Lopez, country music superstar Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr will all be back, as will veteran host Ryan Seacrest.  So in the words of Ryan Seacrest, “Dim the lights and here we go….  You’re watching American Idol.”

We’ve been big supporters of Lovey and her music for years now.  In the past year and a half we interviewed her twice and also let her take over our Twitter and Instagram accounts for a day each. Plus she debuted her 2013 Christmas video “Someday At Christmas” exclusively on our site.

We’re looking forward to speaking with Lovey again about her Idol path when that is a bit more settled, but for now check out our original interviews with Lovey from 2013 and last year.
