The Nickelodeon Halo Awards – Pier 36 – New York, NY – November 11, 2016
I can see your Halo, Halo, Halo.
We don’t want to give too much away but it is safe to say that the Nickelodeon Halo Awards, airing November 27th, is an awards show you do not want to miss. Hosted by none other than Nick Cannon, the concert kicked off at 7:00 with Jason Derulo and his hit song “Want to Want Me.” Following Derulo a hot lineup of performers graced – or should we say, owned – the stage, such as; Daya, Hailee Steinfeld, Zedd, JoJo Siwa, Jacob Whitesides and Jake Miller.
What sets this show apart from other shows is the fact that we get to honor Grace Callwood, Jonas Corona, Chris Suggs, and Lillian Pravda, four kids who give back to the community in extraordinary ways. Throughout the show each honoree got to share what they have done to give back to their communities, then Nick Cannon awarded them with a special Nickelodeon baton for their hard work. When Cannon started this awards show, he wanted to spark a movement, and positively reach people all across the world – which is just what he is doing. It is truly inspiring and heartwarming to hear about the amazing services performed by these kids. We know that everyone at home will feel the same way.
As if hot performers and amazing honorees was not enough, throughout the concert there were an array of games and opportunities to raise money for charity – proving Nickelodeon knows how to party the right way. Make sure to watch at home, so you can see your favorite Nickelodeon TV show stars compete and play games to win money for charity. The crowd had a laugh watching, and it is undisputable that all of those at home will too. So, what are you waiting for? Join the party and call your friends, tell your dog, talk to your parents. Make sure you do everything you can so that you and others don’t miss the hottest show of the year.
