Bella Kay – The Wiltern – Los Angeles, CA – April 1, 2026
Gracing the stage at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, indie pop singer-songwriter Bella Kay was greeted by an enthusiastic audience who cheered loudly as she radiated the room with her smooth vocals and bright smile.
Supporting Ricky Montgomery in his sold out LA show for his debut album’s 10-year anniversary, it’s clear that people have been taking notice of Bella Kay’s talent and artistry.
Born in Texas and currently based in Florida, Kay began writing songs as a teenager, expressing herself through an alt-pop sound from a young age. She started gaining widespread attention on social media with her breakout single, “The Sick,” a gutwrenching song where she grapples with her identity coming out of a difficult relationship. It quickly won over the hearts of millions online and went viral.
In November, Kay continued the momentum by releasing her debut EP, “sick to my stomach.” The EP highlights the 20-year-old’s rich voice and introduces fans to new hits, including “Call Me Baby,” a catchy breakup song that pushes her to new sonic heights with its more upbeat tempo while still maintaining the intimacy that’s key to her songwriting persona.
All of this was on display at The Wiltern, as she took the reins with her magnetic stage presence by making use of the entire stage and displaying her raw and emotionally charged vocals – while still preserving the stripped down feel with only an accompanying guitarist next to her.
The crowd’s buzz in excitement was especially palpable when Kay performed her single, “Iloveitiloveitiloveit” from her second EP, “A Couple Minutes Out,” which was released in February and has already taken the world by storm. The song peaked at number 17 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was certified gold in Australia and New Zealand.
With over 16 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Bella Kay not only holds the ability to write heartfelt and resonant songs but also craft a memorable experience on stage. She is proving to be a strong emerging voice in the pop sphere.
