After releasing her fourth studio album, Hades, Melanie Martinez returned to Baltimore for a stop on the “Hades: The Sacrifice” tour, to play the album in full. Fans lined up around the block, beautifully dressed in a variety of outfits to represent each track on the Hades album.

To kick off the night, it was time to take a trip to the circus. Haute & Freddy warmed up the arena with a set consisting of “Anti-Superstar,” “Femme Hysteria,” “Sophie,” “I Like My People Weird,” “Freaks,” “Scantily Clad,” “Dance the Pain Away,” “Symphony for a Queen,” and “Shy Girl.” Their quirky stage presence and confidence in their act was a joy to watch, and they were the perfect act to get the crowd ready for the performance that was to come.

As the lights went low, the crowd erupted in cheers and the adventure began. From intricate choreography to incredibly detailed set design, jaw dropping costume changes and spoken word pieces in between each song, it was impossible to take your eyes off the stage. Vocally, Martinez was as captivating as ever, her tone floated effortlessly throughout the venue, while choreography and theatrics elevated every moment. Her chemistry with the dancers, her band, and the crowd made for an unbelievable experience.

One of the most captivating pieces of the show was the production itself, between lighting changes, set designs, visual transitions and costume changes, each piece of the puzzle fell into place to create an immersive experience from beginning to end. Fans sang along to every word as tears were shed, faces were beaming, and countless memories were made. The elaborate outfits the fans created demonstrated how strong the community Martinez has created really is, while each lyric echoed at an incredible volume throughout the venue, emphasizing the connection between Martinez and her audience.

As the confetti filled the venue at the end of the night, fans made their way out of CFG Bank Arena buzzing from an unforgettable production. Both Haute & Freddy and Melanie Martinez brought an act that created an evening centered around individuality, creativity, and unapologetic self-expression. Every Melanie Martinez show is an absolute blast, and the bar is raised higher with each tour we are fortunate enough to attend.
